Gonorrhea
This video gives the viewer a good view of what can happen to one who get infected with gonorrhea. The fear to this would be the symptoms and what it can do to an infected individual. The video is aimed at people who are sexually active such as teenagers and adults. I think that it is a good way of getting the audience to know what can happen with gonorrhea. The way it is presented makes the audience want to watch it further then just facts that are thrown at you.

I thought that it was interesting how they used such young teens to be in this video. It makes you realize that people are getting STDs and STIs at very young ages and that we need to create an awareness. I thought this video did a good job of doing that by appealing to a yougner croud.
ReplyDeleteI think this video was really affective becasue it there are no adults in this video which makes teenagers more likly to listen and read what it has to say. I think it did a really good job of putting true information out there as well as ways of preventing it. I also thought it was kinda funny which also helps it when refering to a teenage crowd.
ReplyDeleteThis video was good for a younger audience. It was a little immature so I don't think it would be that effective with people older than high school aged kids. It was done by all teenagers so I think it would relate really good with sexually active teens. The environment of the video was ha ha ha and laid back which is good. Teenagers do not like to be lectured or told what to do in a negative or controlling way which an authority figure could take in this type of situation. The information that was given was accurate and straight forward which is great because the kids actually benefit from it.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I can appreciate the immature humor, this video is obviously targeting kids around the same age as in the video (it was made by them after all). I could easily see why this video could make an adult cringe or potentially hurt someone who's had the STI, and as someone mentioned above, these kids are naive and don't completely understand consequences of the disease.
ReplyDeleteOverall a decent light-hearted educational video for high school or late middle school kids, as it did convey some good facts.
